1st Shoot Plan

I have now planned my first shoot, so I am heading to the studio tomorrow with some black and red face paint and a fedora hat. I have already planned my lighting and I will be using a snoot to create a spot light on my subject. I should hopefully have a few images from my shoot up by tomorrow. 

Inspiration!

I have been inspired by many photographers, however the 3 that have stood out to me the most are Steve McCurry, Luca Pierro and Danny Santos II. I feel I am able to relate to their work for my final project as they always concentrate on the eyes. I love Danny Santos and Steve McCurry's work due to the emotion shown through their images and you always want to know the story behind these saddened eyes. Whereas I find Luca Pierro's work is extremely creative and unique but he concentrates more on the artistic side of a photograph more than a meaning behind his images.

Introduction

I am currently on my last project at North Warwickshire and Hinckley College. First we had to make our own brief, which I did find difficult but once my final idea had been set I found it much easier. My final project it called 'A Glimpse of Mystery' in which I will be creating studio based portraits where only the eyes are visible. I chose to do this as I believe it is the eyes that tell a story through a photograph. I wanted to make the portraits more visually interesting so I will be using a variety of props and lighting techniques to create unique and atmospheric shots.
